Naturopathy is a system of alternative medicine that uses a wide variety of methods for diagnosing and treating many different medical conditions.
Naturopathy originated in Europe, but has gained popularity in North America, Australia, and other parts of the world. In general, naturopathy practitioners believe in the importance of the healing power of nature and that treatments should enhance that healing power. They recognize the mind-body connection and take a whole-person approach to treatment. They also emphasize preventive care.
