Psoriasis is a complex chronic systemic-inflammatory disease resulting from genetic, epigenetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors. A growing number of psoriatic individuals are turning to more natural treatment options because of the potential risk for adverse effects associated with conventional treatments. A plethora of evidence-based research is showing that a naturopathic approach including nutritional supplementation, dietary modifications, and natural topical agents can help to manage co-morbidities, control pathogenic factors, and aid in symptom relief.
