Adrianna Gonzalez is a fourth-year medical student at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. She graduated from the University of Miami in 2013 with a degree in Neuroscience. She completed a year-long dermatology research fellowship at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in between her 3rd and 4th years of medical school. Her interests in dermatology include the manifestations of systemic diseases on the skin, as well as skin cancer prevention and management. She also has a special interest in the effect dietary modifications and lifestyle changes can have on skin conditions such as psoriasis. She enjoys yoga and meditation and believes that a healthy lifestyle and mental wellness are crucial for the well-being of the entire body. She believes that taking the time to educate patients about the many different factors that can contribute to disease is key, and hopes to convey to her future patients the importance of incorporating lifestyle interventions into their daily lives.
